Below you will find our easy step-by-step directions on how to use Ares.

Step 1 - Make sure Ares is installed on your computer. If you have not installed it yet, below you will find a direct link to download the Windows MP3/Movie Search program.

Step 2 - Click on "SAVE" ---> this will start the downloading to your computer ("OPEN" ---> This will automatically start the installation after downloading).

Step 3 - Once the download is complete, double-click on the installer ".exe" to start the installation.

Step 4 - If you choose to create a shortcut icon, this will automatically appear on your desktop.

Step 5 - Double-click on the Ares icon to launch the software.

Step 6 - Always make sure that you are properly connected to the Internet.

Step 7 - Give Ares a couple of minutes to properly connect to the network. If the software does not connect after 5 minutes, check that your firewall is configured to allow Ares through.

Step 8 - Click on the "Search" tab found on the top of your Ares screen.

Step 9 - In the search field, type the key words of the file you want to download.

Step 10 - To filter out unwanted files types, simply check one of the radio buttons foud beneath the search field. To further filter your search results, use the "Advanced Search" option.

Step 11 - Click the "Search" button.

Step 12 - The result(s) will appear on the screen.

Step 13 - If you want to download a file, double-click on the file and the transfer will begin.

Step 14 - To view the progress of the download, click on the "Transfer" tab on the top toolbar.

Step 15 - Once the download is complete, click on the "Locate file" icon in the "Transfer" tab. This will open your shared folder, where your files are saved.

Step 16 - To play the file, either double-click on the file to start playing, or right click on it to get a "play" option.
